The 2010 Atlantic Hurricane Season may be one of the worst on record. Bill Read , the director of the National Hurricane Center speaks about the upcoming season. " An active to extremely active hurricane season which starts on June, 1st, is expected for the Atlantic Basin". It was predicting 3 to 7 major hurricanes, with 8 to 14 smaller hurricanes and 14 to 23 named storms would hit the region over the 6 months. This compares to an average of 2 majopr hurricanes 6 smaller and 11 strpoms per season.
